The Junior Board of the Alpine Children’s Charity is looking for participants for the 4^th Annual Cruisin’ for Kids skiathon to be held in Vail, Colorado on Monday March 24, 2008.  To date, we have raised over $500,000 for the charities we support and we are looking forward to another successful event this year.  Please join us in “Skiing for Solutions” and “Boarding for Breakthroughs”.  Participants will ski laps at the Black Forest Race Arena on Vail Mountain and/or participate in an all-mountain scavenger hunt.   

Participants are “kids” of all ages (2 – 102!).  Each participant is asked to raise a minimum of $250 (or $1,000 per family).  Participants will receive a goody bag and lunch.  They will also be invited to an after party celebration and will qualify for fantastic prizes. 

Previous participants have discovered some fun and creative ways to raise their minimum contribution.  In addition to Emailing your fundraising web page (which can be created by clicking on the link below) to family and friends, you might want to try one of the following ideas which are not only great ways to raise money, but they help spread awareness about the charity and the causes it supports throughout your community: 

• Sell pizza, Dairy Queen blizzards, or hot chocolate at your school at lunch time (make sure you get administration approval first!)
• Hold a raffle for a fun item
• Set up a lemonade or soda stand on your block or at a park
• Go door to door and talk to your neighbors about the event
• Conduct a letter writing campaign
• Ask a local business to match whatever funds you raise
